Sandra Walp
Sandy started with KinderCare in December of 2000 as the Center Director. She enjoys having the opportunity to interact with all the wonderful children, parents and teachers at the center while ensuring that the children are receiving the best possible education. Sandy grew up in the area and resides nearby with her husband of 18 years and their two children. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Bloomsburg University and her Director's Credential from the University of Scranton, where she is looking forward to attaining her Master's Degree. Sandy looks forward to many more fulfilling years with her KinderCare family.

Meghan Tierney
Meghan has been with KinderCare Learning Center since August of 2008. She first started working at KinderCare located in Scranton, PA. Throughout her time there she helped in all of the classrooms and then became a full-time teacher in the Infant classroom. During that time she became she also took on the roll of the center's Helath and Safety Coordinator and third member of management.<br /> Meghan always worked close with families and co-teachers to give the children in her care the best developmentally appropriate education they deserved. She is always looking and discussing new ideas to provide children with the safest and most comfortable learning environments possible.<br /> In October of 2013 she transferred to the Hanover Township KinderCare as the Assisstant Director. She still continues her strong teamwork, positivity, and great communication with this team! Meghan is always looking to learn new ideas to help the teachers and their classrooms continue the strong education this team provides to their students!

Ms. Christy
Ms. Christy graduated from Luzerne County Community College in 2004 with an Associate's Degree in Education to further her education. Ms. Christy attended online courses at Ellis University and received a Child Development Associate's credential in 2011. Ms. Christy is a training facilitator at the center. In the Prekindergarten classroom, Ms. Christy prepares the children for Kindergarten, such as enhancing fine motor skills through handwriting and teaching letter and number knowledge through a variety of teaching techniques. Ms. Christy also incorporates reading, sight words and Spanish knowledge. Ms. Christy makes the environment as fun and safe as possible and overall positive learning experience for all.

Ms. Traci
Ms. Traci has worked with KinderCare for three months. In high school, Ms. Traci took three years of Child Development through Lycoming County Career Consortium Vo-Tech program. Ms. Traci received a certificate in Child Development. Ms. Traci then graduated from Penn College with an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education.

Ms. Candy
Ms. Candy has always dreamt about being a teacher, writer, and a singer. Throughout her years in the ECE field she has been able to accomplish all those goals! You can always find Ms. Candy singing about everything and anything to the children during the day. Her communication with the parents of the children in her classroom is always excellant; from personal conversations, to notes on the children's daily communication sheets! She is very active in poetry and has been published three times! She has three beautiful daughters and has been married to her High School sweetheart for 18 years. Ms. Candy loves to work with children and couldn't dream of anything more fulfilling in her career!
